Don’t forget the Chlorine in your pool.
The chlorine used to winterise your pool back in the autumn will now have gone.
The pool should be re dosed so that as the water warms up with the arrival of spring the pool will have added protection from an Algal Bloom – the Winterclear alone will not protect the pool until you open it up. We recommend re dosing the pool to 10ppm of Chlorine and maintaining it at 5ppm until you re-commission the pool.

Don’t forget the Sand in your Filters.
The sand in your filter should be changed on a regular basis; this period depends on the amount of use your pool gets. Heavily used commercial situations require sand changes annually; lightly used domestic pools should consider a sand change every four to five years. A sand change will greatly enhance the filters effectiveness, as over time the sand wares and becomes engrained with dirt which backwashes don’t remove causing the water to develop channels in the sand bed; consequently the pool water is not filtered to the same standard over time and use. We can supply the sand for you to do your own sand changes, or undertake the sand change for you.
