When autumn nears the topic of winterising your swimming pool should be considered.

Remove heat retention / solar cover, check for damage If needed order replacement from us at discounted winter prices

Brush pool walls and floor.

Turn off skimmer valve(s)

Vacuum pool. Vacuum to waste, removes debris as well as lowers pool water.

Lower pool water to below skimmers. If high water table do not lower water level.

Adjust pH to 7.4.

Shock dose with chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite or

(Calcium Hypochlorite) up to 10 ppm, fully circulate

through main drains, filter and inlets.

Must be fully dissolved / circulated, to avoid bleaching.

Add Champion Winterclear, as per instructions.

(5 litres / 8,800 gallons or 40,000 litres).

Put floating plastic containers in pool and skimmers to

avoid frost damage.

Fit debris cover.

Drain down pump and filter to protect against frost. Label all drain plugs and put in pump basket

Seek specialist advice if in doubt about draining

heating equipment.
